Everyone deserves a safe and affordable place to call home, but too many Pierce County families are struggling. Bryan is committed to expanding housing options and ensuring responsible growth by:

 

  • Increasing housing supply by streamlining permitting and supporting smart development.

  • Protecting renters and homeowners by expanding property tax relief programs for seniors and low-income families. 

  • Investing in affordable housing projects at every level and working collaboratively with state and local partners to secure funding.

  • Preventing homelessness by strengthening wraparound services and rapid rehousing programs.

  • Creating opportunities for first-time home buyer programs to build equity and generational wealth

A thriving local economy requires family-wage jobs, support for small businesses, and investments in transportation, childcare, and infrastructure. Bryan is working to ensure that Pierce County remains a great place to work by:

 

  • Expanding job training and apprenticeship programs to prepare workers for family wage jobs in in-demand careers.

  • Supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs through initiatives like the Pierce County Business Accelerator and removing barriers to success.

  • Attracting new industries and investments that create sustainable, high-wage jobs.

Safe communities start with smart, effective public safety policies. Bryan is committed to addressing crime while also investing in the long-term solutions that prevent it. His approach to public safety includes:

 

  • Investing in first responders to ensure law enforcement, fire, and emergency services have the training and resources to do the job.

  • Expanding crisis response programs that connect people experiencing mental health and substance use issues with the right care.

  • Investing in youth intervention programs that prevent crime before it happens and create opportunities for success.

  • Strengthening community partnerships between law enforcement and residents to build trust and accountability.

Transportation & Infrastructure

Healthy Communities

Reliable transportation is key to a strong economy and connected communities. Bryan is working to improve mobility and infrastructure across the county by:

 

  • Expanding transit services to ensure more residents can get to work, school, and essential services. 

  • Improving road safety by prioritizing infrastructure investments in sidewalks, streetlights, and traffic flow improvements.

  • Securing funding for major transportation projects that will ease congestion and improve commutes.

  • Advocating for multimodal transportation options to ensure everyone—drivers, cyclists, pedestrians, and transit riders—can travel safely.

As a member of the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Board, Bryan has worked to expand public health services and reduce health disparities across the region. On the County Council, he is committed to:

 

  • Expanding access to crisis care, behavioral health support, and addiction treatment on demand.

  • Strengthening public health programs, especially against national threats to essential funding, to ensure Pierce County neighbors can access the care they require. 

  • Improving food security by supporting local farmers and expanding nutrition assistance programs.

  • Prioritizing frontline communities and the urgent local action required to mitigate climate change.
